Arnold Dream
Arnold says he and Penelope were both suppose to be happy with their limitations, to not have big dreams, to sit still. Explain why dreams are so important to Arnold ?
Dreams are important to Arnold because he was born poor nothing to feel happy about. His dad was a alcoholic, so he felt that his dad was nothing. He did nothing with his life instead just drank his life away. So, Arnold felt he had to have some hope in himself to feel he had a dream of himself doing better then his parents. He lose family members and that made him more motivate to have hope and dreams. The breaking point was when his grandma died he wanted to give up on life so he don't have to worry about being the most popular kid or fit in. Born in a really poor family he had more dignity for himself to accomplish what none of the Indians had done yet. All he wanted is hope to dream about his future. Its always good to dream big but don't let the dream get the better of you. Having a supporting cast was one of Arnold motivation to make his dream happen.

Pg 57: This picture illustrates the two different world of Junior. Half of him was white and the other have was Indian. Comparing the way white kids are dress and how Indian kids are dressing. I thought this is a good way of explain Junior world how he handles being poor compare to a white person. It also say hope on the white side that means there will be more hope for Junior going to Reardan High. This is like comparing a ghetto kid from anywhere to a middle class kid how he has more hope then demolished of a future. One can by a new pair of jeans a couple a time and one have to keep wearing the same thing over and over because there to poor. This not always true about a poor person they have the same future as a middle class. They just have to work a little harder to get to the top. Like an apple white in the inside and red on the out side.
